PGDM - postgraduate Diploma in Management  is 2 year programme offered by most of the universities and B- schools. This course mainly focuses on providing practical knowledge of Management and it is equivalent to MBA .

So generally MBA  course tends to be more theoretical whereas PGDM focuses on the technical aspects , which provides exposure to real life business.

The main benefit of doing PGDM is you will get hands on corporate exposure which will brush up your interpersonal and communication skills,  as I mentioned it is a practical based course and focuses on internships and organisation study and on job projects.

PGDM course has equivalent scope to MBA and the job opportunities are well decent .

Certainly PGDM value depends on the institute 's ranking , repute , course curriculum.  You must pursue it in the top institutes then its worthy.
