Hello,

To become a professor in Institute like IIT you need a lot of experience in the educational sector plus high end qualification. P.hd is minimum with a deep research work in the field of interest. Also, you should have experience in the field of teaching as an associate professor or guest faculty in other Institutes. You can then look out for openings or guest faculty position in IIT and apply for the same. The criteria for becoming a professor in Institute like IIT should be of minimum 12 years of experience plus experience as an Associate Professor etc.

Dear aspirant,

To become a professor at Indian Institute of Technology you have to have a bachelor of Technology degree and the master of technology degree and the doctorate in the field in which you are applying as a professor. When you have this required skill set you can apply for the assistant professor vacancies on the website of IIT.

Some positions might also required you to have experience ranging from 5 to 10 years

Hope this helps. Thank you.
