General EWS category is for the students of Economically weaker families (which is decided by some criteria as stated by the government). There is 10 % reservation for EWS students in admission through JEE Main/ JEE Advanced.

There will be positive impact on the result for such students. Such students will get seat through reservation (EWS Rank, However there are only 10% reserved seats) if they could not get through Open category (AIR).
