It really doesn’t matter what your background is. All that matters is which area are you interested in. Being from B.Com will give a litte upper hand in MBA finance. You will have strong foundations in subjects like Accountancy. But after that it’s all new stuff you are going to learn. If you believe you are creative and good when it comes to dealing with customers and doing sales then marketing is your get to go. If you believe you have core financial skills then go for Finance.

Marketing is a dynamic subject which changes every day. The marketing strategies used 5 years before can’t be used today. For that you have to change with it. Whereas Finance is more of a constant subject with less rapid changes.

So finally it comes down to your preference.you can opt for dual specialisation of marketing and finance as well

Both are good courses depending on your interest and passion.

If you like number then go for finance or if you are outgoing person like to interact with people then go for marketing.

Both are good option and have lot to offer in terms of career prospectus but it depend on your interest and passion how far you will go.

Go for number if you have strong analytical skiils and mathematical acumen or go for marketing if you are outgoing person and creative.

Choose wisely after proper evaluation.
