Dear Aspirant,

First of all it is quite hard to predict the exact closing rank as it varies from time to time depending on the preferences of the students and the number of students interested in taking admission that year.

I am assuming you are asking about NITs, of not feel free to ask specific questions.

Usually for CSE the competition is really high as it is the most preferred branch amongst all the other branches.

In top NITs like NIT Trichy the closing rank is usually below 1000

In all the other NITs , it is quite hard to get CSE with a rank above 1.5 K

In your home state (depending on what it is) you can get CSE for ranks up to 3 K

The closing rank for CSE in NIT Nagaland, Sikkim, Mizoram is quite high and is about 20 K.

If you are looking to get into private institutions via JEE scores, you'll still need a percentile of 95+ or a rank of around 60 K to get CSE via JEE stream

Please check the link below for more details.

Hope this helps.
