The eiligibility criteria for NEET UG is as below:

  • A candidate should have passed 12th or equivalent examination or 12th appearing students can aslo apply.
  • Subjects should be Physics,Chemistry,Biology/Biotechnology with English as Compulsory subjects.
  • Students should have scored minimum 50% marks in PCB group for general category while 45% for reserved category.
  • Candidate should be born between 07-05-1993 to 01-01-2002 for general category and 07-05-1998 to 01-01-2002 for reserved category.
  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen. OCIs/NRIs/PIOs/FNs can also apply.

According to neet ug official notification ,the candidate must have  completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

The upper age limit for NEET(UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category and persons with physical disability.

The Age criteria for appearing in NEET (UG) - 2018 is as follows:

For Candidates of Unreserved Category (UR) born on or between 07.05.1993 and 01.01.2002

For Candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PH Category  born on or between 07.05.1988 and 01.01.2002 .

Now talking about the qualification marks.

To be eligible for Neet ug exam, the candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology and in addition must have come in the merit list of NEET (UG)  2018 for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.  In respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes(SC), Scheduled Tribes(ST) or Other Backward Classes(OBC), the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40% marks instead of 50% marks for General Candidates.  In respect of candidates with physical disabilities , the minimum marks in qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 45% instead of 50% for General category candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

As per the eligibility You should be completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects in both Classes 11 and 12 from a recognized Board, candidates from NIOS Board are ineligible and Gap year between Class 11 and 12 is not permitted. Teh maximum age limit 25 years till date of exam for Unreserved candidates, 30 years till date of exam for Reserved category candidates.
