The the cutoff for qualifying examination as it is class 12 science examination with physics chemistry mathematics and English with at least 50% marks and they have to  appear for an entrance test for admission in BSC information technology in Kashmir University  For some of the top institute for information technology. In entrance examination they have to get at least 60 to 70% marks. On the basis of marks in Qualifying exam and entrance exam the admission in Bsc information technology  is taken.
