From then till now IIIT-Hyderabad has kept it’s standard the same, it’s the NIT’s who are making their’s low. So IIIT-H is taking the same top minds that it used to without any compromise.
So at the end the main reasons for the high cutoffs( same as old days ) at IIIT-Hyderabad are:
No reservation.
No boards marks for admission procedure( but atleast 60% is needed in PCM )
The reputation it has built over the years with its placements, academic and research work.
Never compromised the Quality with the quantity.
The craze of coding culture and the reputation of IIIT-H in that.
It seems Govt. is also accepting some of IIIT-H policies now, as they are bringing back the old AIEEE way of ranking for JEE-Mains.
Good news for many bright minds of the country, as now they don’t need to worry much about their boards which not always gives them what they deserve.
