Hi Animesh,

There is no cutoff rank announced by NIFT. Admissions will be given to B.Des. and B.FTech programmes on merit basis. After the counselling procedure is over, the Institute will release the data of discipline-wise and campus-wise closing ranks.

YOU MEAN TO SAY WHEN COUNSELLING IS OVER THAN THE CUTOFF RELEASED ...THEN WHAT IS THE USE OF IT!!!!AND HOW WE GET TO KNOW ABOUT COUNSELLING PROCESS THAT HAS TO BE DONE ON THE BASIS OF MERIT .WHAT IS THE NEED OF RANK THEN?NOW HERE WHAT MERIT IS ALL ABOUT MARKS OR ANYTHING ELSE....PLEASE TELL ,EVERYTHING ..JUST SEEMS TOO CONFUSY.............

Hi Lisa, There is nothing like ‘cutoff’ when it comes to NIFT admissions. The counselling procedure will commence from June onwards, and seats will be offered on merit basis (as per the final result declared on May 15). After the whole admission procedure is over, then NIFT releases a list of closing ranks (last rank admitted) that is discipline as well as campus-wise.
