the difference between CSIR NET and UGC NET is as follows:

1. The exam administration body for both exams is different. Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts CSIR NET while  National Testing agency (NTA) conducts UGC NET.
2. There is difference is age limit UGC NET upper limit is 30 years. However, CSIR NET only is 28 years.
3. CSIR NET is specially designed for only those students who belong to Science Stream whereas UGC NET is for all other types of courses in India.
