Hello Harsha,

In Private medical colleges, the seats will be divided into three categories

*50% seats -conveyor or A-category seats -these are filled by government based on merit. And the fee will be minimal and as directed by the government.

*10% seats -Management or B -category. These seats will be filled by college management based on merit . And the fee will be higher nearly 5-10times higher than A-cat fee. But this fees is also decided under govt. regulations.

*40%seats- NRI or C-category seats. These seats are filled by college management and merit is not required just you have to get qualified. The fee will be almost double to B -category.

But in Govt. medical colleges, there is no division of seats into A, B, C, categories. All seats will be of same costs and filled based on merit and reservations. The fees will be very minimum.

Hope you found this helpful.

Best of luck!
