To write the gate exam the eligibity criteria you need to satisfy is that you must be a final year degree engineering or equivalent student or a graduate of bachelors and same with masters in science or its equivalent.

for the placement procedure the PSUs take your gate scores for initial consideration and the rest is the weightage which could be different for a different PSU. the important factors include

• GATE score
• interview
