M.Tech is a 2 year long course that is offered across 15 specialisations at IIT Dhanbad. Students must have appeared for and cleared GATE in order to get admisison here at the M.Tech course. The eligiiblity criteria for M.Tech course is that candidates must possess a Bachelor degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent or a Master degree in Science, from the institutes recognised by UGC / AICTE.
