NO, educational Qualification needed. You just need to be a citizen of the country, over 25 years of age. There should be no minimum education required nor is there a requirement for a clean criminal record

There is one common misconception among the Indian youth, that politicians need to be educated. No, they don't need to. Such a criteria is very dangerous to the democratic system.

But you can serve the nation by joining Adminstrative or Police Service and thereafter you can fight for MLA seats and then MP seat. This seems to be a long process i think.

you must be an indian citizen.

you should be over 25 years of age.

You should be selected by a constituency with an Initial deposit of Rs.10,000 while filling your nomination.

you should be highly efficient.

you should be well educated and you should have better qualities as a person.
