The Forest College and Research Institute in Mettupalayam is a government college offering undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in Forestry and Sericulture.

The Institute offers the four year long Bachelor of Science in Forestry programme in affiliation to the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore.

A person who has passed the Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with science stream or any other examination recognized as equivalent, shall be deemed eligible for admission to the course.
