JEE Main is one of the most difficult exams of India. It take place in ONLINE as well as OFFLINE mode.

Online Mode : Soft copy of Question Paper or can say computer based.

Offline Mode : Hard copy of question paper, means question paper will be on “paper” I mean on page :P

JEE Main ( offline mode ) will going to take place on April 8, 2018 and JEE Main ( online mode ) is yet to be announced by CBSE. But it is estimated that online exam will going to take place on 14, 15 or 16th of April.

I will definitely update this answer as soon as CBSE announces the dates otherwise you can check for updates on the official site of CBSE .

This time the exam is conducted by IIT Kanpur , last time it was conducted by IIT Madras.

Please take a look on following changes that were introduced last year in 2017.

No weightage will be given to 12th class marks for calculating AIR in JEE Main.

Students should score minimum 75% ( SC/ST 65%) of total marks in 12th class OR must be in top 20 percentile in class 12th board examination.

Student should carry adhaar card number to fill online form. So people please make sure that you have adhaar card or if you don’t have it please apply before exam.

One suggestion please pay attention when you will choose from these different mode of exams i.e. whether you want to apply for OFFLINE or ONLINE .

Go for which suits you the most.

IIT Kanpur will release the JEE Advanced 2018 application form from May 2 to 7, 2018. Only those candidates who have qualified JEE Main 2018 are eligible to fill the application form of JEE Advanced 2018, which will be available in online mode. 

Application fee:-

Female candidates, SC, ST, PwD candidates:- Rs 1300

General/All Other:- Rs 2600
