cse 4 year means b tech while 5year stands for integrated dual degree(b.tech + m. tech).there are some myths regarding the latter that 5 year is a bad option, they are thought of to be of low rank, given less prefference in placements etc. now 5 year is not a bad option in cse if you are getting a good college but if you are getting both of them in the same college then people generally prefer 4 year.in some of the colleges the myths turn out to be true while in some they are false.
