The written Entrance test for MA in JNU is intended to evaluate the basic knowledge of candidates in
 
1. Political Science: Theory, Concepts, Ideologies and Debates

2. History: Key Developments in Ancient/Medieval and Modern Indian History, Freedom Struggle, Gandhian Ideas, Revisiting/Rewriting History

3. Economics: Indian Economy and Development 

4. World Affairs: Arab Spring, Syrian Crisis, UN Reforms, SDGs, Climate Change, Terrorism, BRICS, Human Development Index

5. Indian Foreign Policy: for example- Modi's Foreign Policy, India and the UN, International Yoga Day

The test is based on essay-type questions.
