The KEAM entrance exam syllabus for pharmacy admission in Kerala is based on the entire syllabus of Physics and Chemistry from both Class 11 and Class 12, meaning you will need to study topics from both Plus One and Plus Two curriculums.

Key points about the KEAM syllabus for Pharmacy:

  • Subjects: Only Physics and Chemistry are required for Pharmacy admission.
  • Source: The syllabus is derived from the Kerala Higher Secondary Education Board syllabus.

Important topics:

Physics: Units and Measurements, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Heat and Thermodynamics, Optics, Electricity, Modern Physics.

Chemistry: Basic Concepts, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, States of Matter, Chemical Equilibrium, Organic Chemistry (including hydrocarbons, alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, etc.), Coordination Compounds.

While considered moderately difficult compared to other national level exams like JEE, thorough preparation with a focus on important topics from the syllabus is crucial to achieve a good rank in KEAM.
