I hope you are doing fine, No BAMS is not equivalent to MBBS. MBBS Doctors get more preference than BAMS Doctors. Both the fields are different from each other and are good at in its own respective field. Although the motto is same for both that is to cure people. Nowadays BAMS is getting popular in whole world though MBBS is more preferable. Mbbs doctors prescribe allopathy which has more side effects then ayurvedic medicines. But still if you can get a mbbs seat then you can opt that.
