mat exam stands for management aptitude test, syllabus is prescribed by AIMA, and has 5 sections, from each sections there will be 40 questions, however there is no separate sectional cutoff, but since it is an mcq type exam, it is always better to prepare full syllabus, however english and reasoning section is very scoring.

section wise syllabus are,

Section A: Language Comprehension

Section B and C: Data Analysis & Sufficiency and Mathematics

Section D: Intelligence and Critical Reasoning

Section E: Indian & Global Environment Section
