To get a seat in Top NITs such as NIT warangal, Trichy, Surathkal, Rourkela etc. You need to secure a rank within 5000. As you said, you want to pursue Computer science, so for Top NITs your percentile should be atleast 99.5. For other good NITs, above 98 percentile would do it for you.
