Hello student,

Universities are not ranked according to ownership by the government or private. There is just a reputation among people, but it is not the so case with recruiting companies. People generally prefer government colleges due to its low fee structure.

If you rank it according to fee structure and reputation, then:

  • 1. Centrallly controlled university
  • 2  State Controlled University
  • 3. Deemed University
  • 4. Private University

If you want to see the ranking of universities according to overall performance, then check out NIRF ranking 2019, released by the central government.

Cheers!!
