Hello Aryan,

The main subject asked in CMI's entrance exam for UG is Mathematics. It is a test of aptitude to do Mathematics. The questions asked is of 12 standard maths, topics involved in entrance exam of CMI includes algebra, trigonometry , geometry, calculus, complex numbers and roots of unity.

The books which can you can refer for preparation are

  • Higher Algebra by H.S Hall, S.R Knight
  • Mathematical Circles by  D.Fomin, S.Jenkin and I.Itenberg

As the name suggests “Chennai Mathematical Institute”, The institute is one of the premier institutes in the world, especially for Mathematics.
