The approximate cost of MBBS education in government medical college of Kolkata via NEET UG examination would be as follows

and admission fees of 2000 to 4000 with a caution money of 1000 which would be refundable upon permanent admission in the institution would be charged once only during admission as would be notified on the counselling website regarding admission procedures
usually you will have to pay a fees of 4500 rupees per semester which would be amounting to around 30 to 35 thousand rupees across the 9 semester as tuition fees
this would include a majority of your library charges and other it facilities you would be using in that government medical college
the student union in various colleges may take a separate fee of 1000 to 5000 rupees depending on their expenses and the charges incurred in the college festivals and elsewise but is not strictly a part of the college fees
The hostel fees is usually within 200 rupees a year
The charges recorded the mess and hostel canteen are also usually within 2000 rupees a month and can be negative if you are a day scholar and are not taking meals there regularly
major cost incurred during MBBS education which have not mentioned is the cost incurred after buying books many of which are of foreign authors and have high Indian currency prices due to their equivalent prices in Western currency
Nothing more than 100000 rupees should be your entire budget for covering medical education at the undergraduate level in a government medical college of West Bengal
however if you're talking about private colleges then it would depend whether you have got a government seat or a management quota seat and while the government fees for such colleges could be between 15000 to 80000 per semester,the capitation fees for management quota seats code range up to 1 crore for the entire course
