Online paper will be standard as jee adv where as offline will not compare previous ranks and papers

I would support online examination, because most of the entrance examinations have online exams rather than pen and paper type.

There is no such mode as best mode.  It depends on your taste.  However few advantages are there in CBE mode. You can change your answer option any time. That is not possible in paper mode
