CONSORTIUM OF MEDICAL,ENGINEERING AND DENTAL COLLEGES OF KARNATAKA,conducted for the students who are seeking undergraduate admissions in karnataka.totally there are 190 institutions are participating in this entrance,mostly they will be private colleges only.the application process and exam will be online only.

the candidates should have passed in PUC or +2 board examination/higher secondary education with physics,chemistry and maths(english as compulsory subject) from any recognised institution.

main difference is the other state students can give COMEDK.actually,COMEDK is open to all(all indian students).

KCET:

this is also one of the state entrance exam conducted for the students seeking admissions in (engineering/b.pharm/farm science courses ) government/government-aided/private/private-aided institutions in karnataka state.this exam is conducted by KEA committee.the mode of application for this exam is online and exam will be conducted in the mode of offline.

>>the main eligibility criteriae ,

the candidate should have spent their last 7 years of education in karntaka institution and should have domicile of karnataka.

as already said,the other state students will have restrictions in kcet.comedk will give more opportunities for other state students.the fee structure, also get varies in both exam's participating institutions.

I would like to tell you that the major difference is that:

KCET is conducted for admission in government colleges while COMEDK is conducted by private colleges for their admissions.

Though the difficulty level is same, getting a seat in the above mentioned colleges is more challenging through kcet than comedK.
