For JoSAA candidate's category rank will be considered while for CSAB counselling CRL rank will be considered .....There are limited seats for a particular category in any branch

Central Seat Allocation Board will be conducting CSAB 2021 to provide admissions into the participating institutes (IIITs, NITs, and GFTIs) on the basis of JEE Main scores.

CSAB counselling is taken after the completion of JoSAA counselling to fill the vacant seats....

Candidates who have not been allotted before will be able to register for CSAB 2021....

the different modes of CSAB counselling for admission is as follows...

CSAB NEUT (for the North Eastern States and Union Territories)

CSAB UT (Supernumerary Seats for Union Territory)

CSAB SFTI (Self-Financed Technical Institutes)

Eligibility criteria of CSAB counselling :

1. Candidate should have a valid JEE Main rank.

2. The JoSAA 2021 eligibility criteria have to be met by the candidates.

3. Those candidates who participate in JoSAA 2021 but fail to get allotted will be eligible for CSAB 2021 special round.

4. It should be noted that those candidates who opted not to participate in the special round after JoSAA will not be eligible for CSAB 2021 special round admission procedure.

5. Candidates who are allotted seats through JoSAA 2021 but not accepted their admission or canceled from their seats will also be eligible for CSAB 2021 special round.
