Dear student,

First of all let me clear you one thing that if your seat is cancelled then you can not take part in further josaa counseling rounds. It doesn't matter that whether you belong fron general category or any other category, if your seat is cancelled then you cannot take part in further rounds.

Now if one student opts for float option then that means he/she will get a seat in further rounds, if he / she lies in the range of cutoff closing ranks. Now if some other student who had secured a good ranked one than the student who opted for float option in previous round, then the preference will be given to this good ranked student, in further rounds. And if the seat remains then the seat will be given to student who has opted float option.
