The Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT), Pantnagar was established on November 17, 1960. The university was inaugurated by Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. The University in its 56 years has not only revolutionized agricultural education but also introduced innumerable new concepts of research and extension.
