Hello Divya singh,

Admissions under the NRI quota is to be done directly through the nlus and not through CLAT. Only the admissions to NUJS kolkata are done through the CLAT office.

So you need to check the requirements of the university you want to apply to. In few of them you might need very close relatives to be NRIs but in most of them a distant relative would do.

This is how it normally works

  1. You get your NRI relative to sign a sponser letter, which is uploaded on the CLAT website.
  2. While filling the CLAT form tick on the NRI sponsored category (under special category)
  3. After the CLAT results, cordinate with the respective nlus for further procedure about applying, paying the fees, etc.
