As per your requirement, i would say that Yes it is possible to get govt seat through sports quota but it depends on your state but as your state is tn, it has sports quot.. Few states like ( Tamilnadu ) provide sports quota in top medical college like MMC. You better check the official prospectus of your state.

Getting admission depends on students to seat ratio, cut off, reservation etc. Sport's quota has its own reservation of few seats.
