If you really want to study then go for DC pandey as its new version was really good for jee aspirants.. 

If you don't have enough time then hcv and do ncert you... Blindly clear main level paper.. 

But if you want your selection and want under 500 rank then you should go with cengage.... It is well sufficient.. .

If you doesn't want to solve any book then you should take dlp of reso ... Which is sufficient for jee selection 

As both are good for B.Tech preparation but it is advisable to choose the one which is easy to understand and which makes all your concepts clear easily so it is based on the individual choice only. But mostly students go for HC Verma as it has classic texts and liked by millions of students. The contents of both books are similar but their presentation is different. So select one of them based on your personal liking.

Both the books are good for your preparation. It's depends on your requirement.

If your concepts are not clear you should go for Cengage as it has lot of theory with good explanation. It will help you to understand the concept better.

If you need a book to practice questions then you should go for DC Pandey.

You should also refer NCERT as you can get direct questions from there.
