It doesn not depend on the crowd in the college. Decisions should be made on the basis of the reputation of that particular college and admission should be taken only in that branch for which the college is famous irrespective of the crowd.

As in this case, VIT Vellore is reputed for CSE and not ECE. So I suggest you re consider your decision!
