But you can get branches like EE, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical at NIT's like NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Jaipur, NIT Patna etc. Now if you are willing to pursue Mechanical Engineering then, NIT Kurukshetra and NIT Jaipur will be best from these NIT's.
