BAMS is Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery which deals with the study ayurveda, including modern as well as vedic medicals, whereas, BHMS is Bachelor in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery which deals with the homeopathic medicines only.

BAMS has much more scope than BHMS. There are more job opportunities for BAMS graduates. And the salary after post graduation in ayurveda is much better. Initially the salary is not that good when practicing BAMS. But as you develop experience and skill, the salary also hikes.Graduates in the field of Ayurveda will have a salary around Rs.20000-Rs.25000 per month in government sector. Those who want to apply in private firms receive a salary in between Rs.25000-Rs 30000 per month.
