It is not really matter whether you have taken a Bachelors of science degree or bachelors in technology degree during your graduation period after completing your class 12th standard for becoming a scientist.

The main thing which you have to look after is after you have completed your masters degree you have to get interest into research and development work and can apply for junior scientist positions in various organisations offering the same.
