There is a lot of difference between these two fields. Like, Bdes is a 4 year course while Barch is a 5 year course. In B.arch you need a little information about Maths as well as Physics while in B.des there is no need of Such Things.

There is lot of field work in B.arch while the field work in B.des is not much or i can say negligible.
