Hello aspirant ,
A B.tech degree always has a higher value than a B.sc degree. So if you are having kneen interest in Inventions then you can go for Btech biotechnology.
Moreover in accordance to the advancement in technology biotechnology has a bright future .
But currently B.sc degree would be a better choice as it fetches more govt and private sector jobs.
To stand out in biotechnology you would need to do PhD in that.
