stream in B.Tech mostly depends on your intrest . You should take which you want in which you have developed intrest. But the most famous and common is computer science so students go for it only .Sometimes students with no idea of comuters also go for cs only because of being most common.

But year by year these things are changing and many students have developed intrests in other branches also.So if you want to go with most common that is cs than it's ok but if you want any other streams i'm listing some of the newly started and those which will have a good scope in future

Btech in agriculture

Btech in mechatronics

Btech in aeronautical engineering

Btech in automobile

Don't be confused about any one if you do not know anything about any of the streams than no problem as most of the students are like you only they do not know which stream to take so they go for cs and others which they get. If you go for cs then there is a stream called artificial intelligence and machine learning. It is one of the branch which will have a great scope in future . But take it only if you have good intrest in maths and want to pursue it in whole college life. Think with a cool mind and do not select any one by pressure of someone as it will pressurise on you further.
