If you wish to prepare you can make it to the preperation of Banks or IES or research work itself. It totally depends upon your own interests and no body can tell you that. So just prepare your own mind set and prepare for it. You need to check whats good n not and so go for it. good luck.

3) TOEFL,IELTS,SAT for getting education outside india

4)Bank Po exams,defence exams(CDS) etc...many more options are available...

There are several exams which you can prepare with the field of your interest. Gate is one of them. If you want to go abroad for study you should also prepare for IELTS and TOFEL. And other exams depends on the field. For example if you are in aeronautical engineering you can prepare for ATC and AO. Wishing you luck
