If you want to get into medical colleges for doing Mbbs then at present there are three gateways for that , I mean there are three examination and if you qualify anyone of them with a good rank then you will get a seat and then you can pursue your MBBS.
These exams are given below :-

• NEET :- The National Eligibility  Entrance Test-Under Graduate,  is an entrance examination  for students who wish to study undergraduate medical courses and dental courses etc in government or private colleges.
• AIIMS :- Aiims Ug is for admission to undergraduate courses offered by fifteen AIIMS institutes.
• JIPMER :- It is conducted for 150 seats offered in JIPMER, Puducherry campus and 50 seats offered in Karaikal campus.

So , you need to give these exams to get into medical colleges. But from 2020 both AIIMS and Jipmer will be merged in NEET. And then candidates will have only one exam .i.e. NEET for getting into medical colleges.
