Most og the IIITs have their own campuses. But there are very few who are still under the campus of their mentor NITs.

One such example is IIIT Surat which is still in the NIT campus at the moment. It's just that these IIIT's are newly formed so to build a campus with all amenities will take some time and till then they are running in temporary campuses.
