Each IIM has its own criteria for the admission. Some of IIMs are heavily academics oriented and the shortlisting criteria based on multiple parameters like academic performance in class X, XII and Graduation programs as well as your score in CAT while some have not the same criteria. I would suggest you to focus only on the Exam Preparation to be able to maximize your score so that you may minimize the impact of past academic records.
