Hello,

In India, computer engineering and computer science engineering (CSE) are used interchangeably for most university programs. Therefore, companies which hire one, also hire the other and therefore there is no great difference between the two branches in terms of salary and/or demand. In fact, CSE engineers are the most in-demand in India along with IT professionals although the starting salary doesn't tend to be very high.

Theoretically, CSE has a greater focus on software than Computer engineering which is more focused on hardware in some contexts. But in the Indian academic context, both the terms are used interchangeably and there is no great difference in the subject matter of the two academic programs.

Hello Dear

The branch which you have the interest is the most demanding branch as per my opinion. Both the name of the branch which you have displayed here are one of the good branches of engineering. You can take any one of them depending upon your own interest and choice. As per the salary point of view both have the equal weightage. So it will be difficult to predict which one will be superior.

All the best
