Based on previous year cutoff IIIT surat has higher cutoff than IIIT ranchi.

Both of these are new colleges which were set up 2-3 years ago and not much information is available about them tegarding placemenys and other facilities. Both have well estabilished NITs as there mentors but they can't be compared on any factors. Therefore you should choose among the two in accordance with your comfort and locality. Hope this helps.
