well both of the colleges are very good and excellent in their perceptions.
regarding ,banaras hindu university the faculty is highly talented and the way they teaches the concepts are very clear.
also, the concepts explanation is very detailed and  with the elaborative description  and the tips and tricks provided by them are helpful in faster solving.
also,preparation is key to success and start preparing according to the concepts which the faculty taught by applying the tricks.  sure it will help you for the enhanced preparation.
regarding  IIT'S  , IIT'S are the most prestigious institutes which provide the outstanding education and also the teaching is in such a way that the students will start lateral thinking related to the particular concept.
obviously, BHU  competes equally with IIT'S.
so, i suggest both are well and good and choosing any one might be the best selection.
