Hi.  RG Kar Medical College is a government owned medical college in Kolkata, West Bengal. It was established in 1886 and completed 100 years of service in 2016, with 250 seats for MBBS, 159 seats for MD+MS, 9 seats for DM and 11 seats for MCh. The academic part is good and patient flow is excellent.

On the other hand, IMS and SUM hospital is a deemed medical college in Bhubaneshwar, Orissa established in 2007. It has 1750 bed capacity and an intensive unit care, the largest such unit in the state, with NIRF ranking 21. The only difference between the two colleges is of the fees as every college has its own pros and cons. Deemed colleges usually have fees between 15 lakhs to 20 lakhs and hence students tend to prefer government ones over deemed ones. Hope it helps!
