It depends upon the course you wish to pursue both colleges are the best of Delhi University.

1. Commerce: St. Stephen collage is the best if we talk about B.Com(H) and B.A.(H) Eco.
2. Science Subjects: St. Stephen’s College is conventionally ranked no.1 in almost all major science courses. However, Hindu College is also great for certain science courses in all the three major science subject courses.
3. Arts: Still there is a fair good competition between the two colleges with St. Stephen’s leading a bit in the same. English (H) of St. Stephen’s is far better than of Hindu College.
