Abubhav other than CAT there are some other good MBA exams like XAT, SNAP, NMAT, MAT, CMAT, GMAT whose scores are accepted by many top b-schools but for MBA programme in IIM, it only accepts CAT score. Actually, CAT exam is conducted by one of the IIM every year and it is especially conducted for admission in IIM although most of the top b-schools also accept CAT score to give admission.

For MBA there is no fixed minimum score required for any student of any category. It varies from college to college. Better the score, better will be your percentile, better will be the chance to get a call from good b-school and better will be the chance of converting your call.

For top IIMs like IIM A, B and C you need to have above 92+ percentile to get a call and above 95+ percentile to increase the probability of your conversion. For other old IIMs like IIM K, L and I you need to have above 85+ percentile and 90+ to increase the probability of your conversion. For new IIMs you need to have 80+ percentile to get a call. For private colleges like FMS and JBIMS Mumbai, you need to have 85+ percentile to get a call and 90+ percentile to convert it.

Remember one more thing that CAT percentile is not alone enough to get a call. Along with this you also need to have a good profile. After the CAT result, all the colleges in which you apply including IIMs makes a merit list to call students for second round of interview and WSAT which is made in the basis of your aggregate score and which is based on different parameters such as CAT marks, 10th, 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non-engineer, gender etc. whose weightage vary according to different colleges.

Aprt from CAT enterance U can give MAT XAT exam  which is accepted  in top B schools , However every IIMS  will be needing CAT score as that compulsary eligibilty criteria
